DAILY SEVAS AT TIRUMALA TIRUPATI TEMPLE
The Suprabatham is the first seva at Tirumala, every day acharyapurushas sing suprabhatam and mangalasasanam and a decendent of Tallapaka Annamacharya, Devotees who purchased the tickets for Suprabatham seva can present at the time of Suprabatham Darshan. The worship of Lord Venkateswara during Suprabhatam is considered highly meritorious.
This Thomala seva involves the decoration of the Lord with different flowers and Thulasi Garlands. The Thomala Seva is performed in the Tirumala temple after Vishwarupa Darshanam. This seva is conducted for 30 minutes. It can be attended on the payment of certain amount as arjita seva on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It is held in ekantams during the other days of the week
In this Seva the main deity Lord Venkateswara is performed amidst chanting of one thousand sacred name of the Lord as archana, is also called Sahsranam Archana,
Kalyanotsavam Seva is performed to the utsava murti of the Lord Sri Malayappa swami and his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi in the Kalyanamandapam(marriage hall) in the Sampangi Pradakshinam.
An imaginary family background of the brides and bridegroom is recited during the course of the ritual. The idols of the bridegroom and brides face Strait to Strait with a screen in between. They are allowed to see each other only at the right auspicious moment when the screen in removed. The priests’ perform homa’s. A prohit conducts the marriage and an archakar is sanctified to perform other rituals on the behalf of the bridegroom.
ARJITHA BRAHMOTSAVAM SEVA
Brahmotsavam is performed on a daily basis in an abridged manner at Vaibhavotsava mandapam which is opposite to Swamy Pushkarani. Here Sri Malayappaswami with his two consorts is chanted with Vedic mantras, rituals and worshipped and mounted on three vahanams- Pedda Seshavahanam(Gold), Garuda vahanam(silver) and Hanumantha vahanam(silver).
DOLOTSAVAM / UNJAL SEVA
Sri Malayappa swamy, Sridevi and Bhudevi are seated in an Unjal in the Mirror Mahal and swung to the accompaniment of Veda parayanam and Mangala vadhyam.
SAHASRA DEEPALANKARA SEVA
This Sahasra Deepalankara seva is performed in the unjal mandapam which is outside the Srivari temple. Which will be beautifully decorated and be glowed with thousands of lamps. The Lord is seated on an Unjal which is rocked gently to the accompaniment of a clarinet orchestra.
Vasathosavam is said to be a festival of color. These seasonal festival is celebrated during the spring season, which will be performed in a abridged manner daily at vaibhavotsavam mandapam.
Ekanta seva / Late Night Seva, This seva is conducted when the Lord is put to sleep. With this seva Sarvadarsanam comes to a close. During this Ekaantha seva, a descendant on Annamacharya sings lullabies to put the Lord to sleep
